SYLLABUS SUMMARY
This Foundation Course provides a broad overview of Veterinary Acupuncture. The syllabus is truley integrative, combining the modern understanding of neuroanatomy and physiology alongside the insights of Traditional Chinese Medine (TCM). Information on mechanisms of action, clinical indications, side-effects and contra-indications ensure that veterinarians can begin integrating acupuncture into their practice safely and effectively.The Foundation Course adopts an applied, clinically-relevant approach and focuses on the treatment of common musculoskeletal complaints. Practical sessions include opportunities to locate and identify acupuncture points. Case studies and group work further support the process of applying the theory and integrating the concepts into everyday veterinary practice.
